Zendaya’s Custom Louis Vuitton Gown Continues Her Divine The Odyssey Fashion Era

Less than 24 hours after turning heads in a rare archival Givenchy by Alexander McQueen look, Zendaya returned to the The Odyssey press tour with another masterclass in method dressing—this time in a breathtaking custom Louis Vuitton creation that blurred the lines between couture, mythology and modern glamour.

For The Odyssey premiere in Paris, the actress, who portrays the goddess Athena in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated epic, embraced an ethereal vision in a flowing ivory gown designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. Crafted over more than 800 hours, the custom look featured delicate floral lace, a dramatic thigh-high slit, a plunging midriff cut-out and a sweeping train that floated effortlessly across the red carpet.

A cropped lace bolero added volume and movement, enveloping Zendaya in soft, cloud-like layers that echoed the regal elegance associated with Athena. Rather than relying on literal costume references, the look translated the goddess’ symbolism into contemporary couture, continuing one of this year’s strongest examples of cinematic method dressing.

Accessories elevated the fantasy even further. A striking diamond choker from Messika, centred around a 14-carat tanzanite stone, introduced an armour-like edge without disrupting the softness of the gown. Matching diamond earrings, satin white pumps and a braided crown hairstyle completed the divine aesthetic, striking a careful balance between ancient mythology and modern luxury.

The Paris appearance marks another chapter in the ongoing creative partnership between Zendaya, her longtime stylist Law Roach and Ghesquière. Throughout The Odyssey press tour, the trio has built a wardrobe rooted in Athena’s mythology without ever repeating themselves. From a sculptural Schiaparelli couture breastplate in London to an archival Givenchy masterpiece and now this romantic Louis Vuitton moment, each appearance expands the visual narrative while remaining unmistakably connected.

The consistent use of ivory and white has become particularly significant. While the palette traditionally symbolises purity and protection qualities long associated with Athena, it also allows silhouette, craftsmanship and texture to become the focal point, demonstrating the quiet confidence behind every look.

In an era where celebrity press tours often rely on spectacle alone, Zendaya continues to prove that fashion can deepen storytelling rather than simply accompany it. With each red carpet appearance, she isn’t just promoting a film—she’s building an entire visual mythology around it.
