British luxury fashion house Stella McCartney has announced a multi-year collaboration with Dutch family mobility brand Bugaboo, marking the stroller specialist’s first major fashion partnership in more than a decade. The collection is set to launch globally in September 2026, blending high-end design with functional parenting essentials.
The partnership brings together Bugaboo’s expertise in innovative pushchairs and car seats with Stella McCartney’s signature aesthetic and longstanding commitment to sustainable fashion. The result is a collection designed for modern parents who want products that combine style, practicality, and environmental responsibility.
The range will feature Bugaboo’s renowned engineering reimagined through Stella McCartney’s creative vision, using recycled polyester fabrics made from plastic bottles, recycled aluminium, bio-based materials, and low-water dyeing technology to reduce environmental impact.
“As a mother, I want what I create to reflect the world I want to help build,” Stella McCartney said. “Our collaboration with Bugaboo came about quite naturally, as it is a brand that shares our dedication to innovation and responsibility. This collection is designed for every mum who wants to express her personality and playful side while navigating parenthood.”
For Bugaboo, the collaboration represents a strategic return to fashion partnerships after previous projects with brands including Missoni, Diesel, and Kith. The company says the alliance reinforces its ambition to strengthen its position within the growing conscious luxury market.
“Today’s parents are design-conscious, values-led and attuned to cultural shifts, and they expect the brands they choose to reflect that,” said Adriaan Thierry, CEO of Bugaboo. “Stella McCartney and Bugaboo are pioneers in their respective fields, both renowned for thinking beyond the expected and challenging industry conventions. By uniting Stella McCartney’s unique creative vision with Bugaboo’s heritage of functional design and engineering excellence, we have created a collection for a new generation of parents who refuse to compromise on function, style or values.”
Jeanelle Teves, Bugaboo’s chief commercial officer, added that the partnership was driven by shared values around sustainability and design excellence, noting that both brands have long prioritised environmentally conscious innovation alongside premium aesthetics.
The collaboration arrives as luxury brands continue to expand into lifestyle categories, with parenting products increasingly becoming an extension of personal style. The Stella McCartney x Bugaboo collection aims to meet the expectations of consumers seeking thoughtfully designed products that balance fashion, functionality, and sustainability.
The debut collection will be available worldwide from September 2026.
