Teyana Taylor does not really do subtle when it comes to movement, and Alaïa has found the perfect way to let that energy take centre stage.
The multidisciplinary artist stars in Alaïa’s Summer Fall 2026 campaign, bringing her signature combination of athleticism, sensuality and confidence to the French house’s body-conscious silhouettes.
Photographed by David Sims, the campaign strips everything back to moody black-and-white imagery, allowing Taylor and the clothes to do the talking. There is an intimacy to the photographs, with her movement becoming almost as important as the garments themselves.

That feels particularly fitting for Alaïa. The house has always had a fascination with the female form, creating pieces that follow, sculpt and celebrate the body rather than hiding it. Taylor’s background in dance and performance makes her a natural fit for that language.
Across the campaign, she moves through Alaïa’s signature second-skin knits and sculptural silhouettes, including a shimmering metallic-embellished mini dress and a jersey design featuring strategic waist cutouts.
The pieces are revealing, but there is nothing passive about them. Taylor brings strength to every frame, making the clothes feel less like costumes and more like extensions of her own body and movement. It is exactly the kind of presence Alaïa has historically found in performers, from Grace Jones to Tina Turner.

And Taylor fits comfortably into that lineage. The accompanying campaign film takes the idea even further, using moving portraits and shifting silhouettes to capture the clothes in motion. Rather than simply showing how the collection looks, Alaïa allows us to see how it moves.
For Taylor, the collaboration is also a personal one. A longtime admirer of the house, she describes the collection as bold and feminine while still carrying the sense of strength that drew her to Alaïa in the first place.
That strength is ultimately what makes the campaign work.
