Margot Robbie Wears Custom Ashi Studio Gown at Wuthering Heights Australia Premiere

After a globe-spanning press tour worthy of its gothic source material, Wuthering Heights made its final major stop in Australia and Margot Robbie ensured the closing chapter was nothing short of cinematic. For the Sydney premiere, Robbie delivered one of her most striking fashion moments yet, leaning fully into the romantically Victorian aesthetic that has defined her red carpet narrative.

Styled by Andrew Mukamal, Robbie wore a custom ivory gown by Ashi Studiohttps://lamodespot.co.uk/tag/ashi-studio/. The design centered on a sculpted strapless bustier created in collaboration with legendary corsetier Mr Pearl, known for his architectural work with Jean Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler. From the structured bodice, the gown unfurled into sheer, diaphanous sleeves and a dramatic mermaid skirt layered with frothy tulle ruffles.

Robbie accessorized with luminous jewels by Lorraine Schwartz and classic heels from Manolo Blahnik, allowing her softly crimped blonde hair to fall effortlessly past her shoulders. The effect was romantic without veering into costume.

The Australian premiere may have been the final stop, but Robbie’s Wuthering Heights wardrobe has been a spectacle in its own right. She opened the tour in a sculptural look from Schiaparelli, paired with Elizabeth Taylor’s historic Taj Mahal diamond necklace, a moment of pure archival grandeur. In Paris, she wore a Chanel bustle dress designed by Matthieu Blazy, channeling period romance with couture precision. At the London premiere, she embraced a daring naked dress by Dilara Findikoglu, styled with a re-creation of a bracelet made from Emily Brontë’s hair.

Between premieres, Robbie incorporated runway and archival pieces from icons such as John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood, weaving together a cohesive narrative of romance, rebellion, and reverence for fashion history. Much like Brontë’s novel, Robbie’s press tour wardrobe feels destined to linger dramatic, deliberate, and already etched into the fashion canon.
