From Beyoncé to Doechii.
At the Met Gala, the conversation usually starts with couture, but this year, it extended all the way to the fingertips. Under the “Fashion is Art” theme, nails didn’t just complement the looks, they completed them.
On the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, beauty moved in sync with fashion. Textures, references and finishes are carried through from garment to detail, turning nail sets into miniature extensions of each concept.
Below, the standout sets that proved nails are no longer an afterthought they’re part of the main event.
Doechii
Doechii leaned fully into texture, with nail artist Rachel Sun crafting a set inspired by raw crystal formations. Built using Aprés Nails, the design mirrored the irregularity of nature—unpolished, dimensional and intentionally imperfect.
Beyoncé
For her long-awaited return, Beyoncé’s nails followed suit. Created by Angel My Linh with Aprés Nails, the stiletto-shaped set echoed the crystal detailing of her gown, translating embellishment into precision.
Lisa
Lisa’s look extended into her nails through a jewel-heavy design by Juan Alvear, using KISS Nails. The inspiration? Frozen Bvlgari jewels captured mid-glimmer, suspended across each nail.
Emma Chamberlain
As both attendee and correspondent, Chamberlain’s nails carried narrative weight. Designed by Tom Bachik with Aprés Nails, the art deco-inspired set mirrored the hand-painted detailing of her Mugler look, color, line and movement all aligned.
ROSÉ
ROSÉ took the opposite route. Soft blush tones, a milky finish and a single pearl charm executed by Betina Goldstein with Aprés Nails offered restraint, proving minimal can still read as intentional.
Blue Ivy Carter
For her debut, Blue Ivy opted for a refined French manicure elevated with Swarovski crystals. Created by Miho Okawara using OPI, the look balanced youthful personality with red carpet polish.
