Sport and subversion continue their ongoing conversation as adidas Originals and Avavav reunite for Spring/Summer 2026, extending a collaboration that has steadily blurred the line between performance gear and conceptual fashion.
Under the direction of Avavav creative director Beate Skonare Karlsson, the new season pushes familiar adidas codes into more sculptural territory. The result is a collection that reframes contemporary femininity through a distorted, exaggerated streetwear lens where functionality meets theatrical design.
At its core, SS26 reworks signature athletic silhouettes into unexpected forms. Classic tracksuits are reimagined as second-skin pieces, including a skintight track top that anchors the collection’s body-conscious direction. Elsewhere, proportions are disrupted entirely through hooded mini dresses and shoulderless hoodies, turning everyday sportswear into stylised statements.
Accessories lean further into the collection’s sculptural language. An oversized leather sports bag arrives with exaggerated structure, while double-brim caps introduce a playful, almost surreal edge to the lineup balancing utility with visual exaggeration.

Footwear continues the remix of adidas heritage. The Avavav Megaride returns in canvas and suede constructions, complete with windowed mesh detailing that modernises its performance roots. The iconic Modified Superstar is also reinterpreted in two distinct versions: a rugged “Deconstructed” leather build and a “Shaved Pony” iteration wrapped in faux pony-hair for a textural finish.
Across apparel, accessories, and footwear, the collection maintains a consistent design tension reworking familiarity into something intentionally distorted, but still recognisably adidas.
The adidas Originals x Avavav SS26 collection will be available from May 22 via CONFIRMED, the adidas website, and select retailers.
