The era of ordinary slides may officially be over. A$AP Rocky and PUMA are once again merging fashion experimentation with streetwear energy through the release of the highly anticipated Mostro 3.D Mule, a silhouette that feels equal parts archival revival and futuristic design object.
Originally teased during A$AP Rocky’s New York Fashion Week presentation earlier this year, the shoe now arrives as one of the boldest footwear collaborations of the season. Built using advanced 3D-printing technology, the mule reinterprets PUMA’s cult-favorite 1999 Mostro silhouette, transforming the once-performance-inspired sneaker into a sculptural slip-on designed for contemporary streetwear culture.
The result is intentionally unconventional. Featuring exaggerated spiked detailing, fluid contours, and an almost extraterrestrial structure, the Mostro 3.D Mule leans fully into the growing appetite for experimental footwear that blurs the line between fashion, technology, and art.
Two distinct colorways lead the launch. The first arrives in a dramatic electric-blue gradient that fades into black, accented with sharp red detailing that gives the shoe a molten, paint-dipped effect. It is the louder, more expressive option designed for wearers who want their footwear to become the focal point of an outfit.
For those drawn to a more understated aesthetic, an all-black version offers the same sculptural silhouette in a monochromatic finish, allowing the aggressive shape and texture of the mule to take center stage without relying on color contrast.
The collaboration continues A$AP Rocky’s increasingly influential relationship with PUMA, one that has consistently fused motorsport references, avant-garde styling, and youth-driven streetwear sensibilities.
