Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Serves Northern Nigerian Royal Realness on Big Brother Naija Live Show

By now, we all know Sunday nights on Big Brother Naija aren’t just about who’s getting evicted—they’re about what Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is wearing. At this point, the evictions feel like plot twists on the side; the real headline is always Ebuka’s wardrobe reveal.

This week, the style maestro took a detour from his recent streak of music and Nollywood-inspired fits (yes, we’re still not over his Fela moment) and decided to go full royalty. Literally.

Ebuka stepped onto the live stage draped in a flowing navy robe embroidered with delicate light blue spirals and geometric trims—pure Hausa artistry at its finest. Sitting proudly on his head? A pristine white turban (rawani), feather and all, serving prestige and power with a single accessory. Add in his wire-rimmed glasses and that neatly trimmed beard, and suddenly the eviction show looked less like TV drama and more like a coronation.

The look wasn’t just fashion-forward; it was a heartfelt tribute to the late Sultan Muhammadu Maccido, the 19th Sultan of Sokoto, who reigned until his passing in 2006. Ebuka’s homage was not only a nod to Northern Nigerian tradition but also a reminder of the cultural depth behind his fashion choices.

And let’s be honest—if Ebuka keeps up this cultural fashion tour, Sunday nights might need to be renamed Ebuka Nights. Because while the housemates sweat it out, he’s out here making eviction shows feel like runway history lessons.
