Louis Vuitton is going back into beauty, but this time, the house is making the collaboration feel even more exclusive.
For its latest cosmetics release, Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Dame Pat McGrath for Beauté Louis Vuitton, a limited-edition collection created with Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière and the legendary makeup artist, who serves as the house’s Creative Director of Cosmetics.
The collection arrives as Louis Vuitton celebrates the 130th anniversary of its iconic LV Monogram, with the beauty pieces drawing inspiration from two distinctive versions of the house’s signature motif: Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge.
And if the packaging alone does not make the connection obvious, the colours certainly do.
The collection brings together the LV Baumes, LV Rouges and LV Ombres, giving Louis Vuitton’s beauty offering a more fashion-driven direction while keeping the house’s unmistakable visual identity at the centre.

For McGrath, the collaboration is less about creating a traditional beauty partnership and more about continuing a creative relationship that has already existed backstage at Louis Vuitton for years. She describes the process as one built on trust and creative understanding between herself and Ghesquière.
That history is visible in the final collection, where fashion and makeup feel less like separate worlds and more like parts of the same Louis Vuitton universe.
Of course, the limited-edition status comes with limited-edition pricing.
The LV Baumes and LV Rouges retail for $195 each, while the LV Ombres is priced at $340. That represents a significant jump from the permanent collection, where the corresponding products are priced at $160 and $250 respectively.
So yes, Louis Vuitton beauty remains firmly in luxury territory.
But for collectors and makeup lovers who like their cosmetics with a healthy dose of fashion history, this latest drop offers something beyond the usual lipstick or eyeshadow palette.
It is Louis Vuitton, Pat McGrath and Nicolas Ghesquière putting their signatures on beauty with the house’s 130-year-old Monogram providing the inspiration.
The limited-edition Beauté Louis Vuitton collection is available now through the Louis Vuitton website.
