Miu Miu Revives the Bubble Sneaker for Fall/Winter 2026

Miu Miu is proving that fashion’s love affair with Y2K isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The Italian luxury house has officially revived its Bubble sneaker, bringing one of its early 2000s silhouettes back for Fall/Winter 2026 with a contemporary update that feels perfectly in step with today’s retro sneaker revival.

First unveiled on the Fall/Winter 2026 runway in Paris, the Bubble sneaker blends nostalgic sportswear influences with Miu Miu’s signature approach to luxury craftsmanship.

Originally introduced in the early 2000s, the silhouette returns with supple leather and suede uppers that have been lightly padded for enhanced comfort. The deconstructed design gives the sneaker a relaxed, lived-in feel, while technical ribbed cotton laces with contrast-dipped tips add the playful, unexpected details that have become synonymous with the brand.

For those seeking an even more elevated interpretation, Miu Miu is also introducing a Nylon Ricamo and Scamosciato version featuring intricate jeweled embroidery across the upper. The embellishments transform the sporty silhouette into a statement luxury piece without losing its athletic roots.

One of the biggest updates comes beneath the foot. The sneaker’s signature Bubble sole has been completely re-engineered using lightweight construction, making the sculptural outsole more comfortable and wearable than its predecessor. Layered translucent detailing adds depth and movement, modernizing the flowing design while preserving the distinctive profile that made the original stand out.

The relaunch arrives at a time when retro-inspired runners continue to dominate both luxury and streetwear fashion, placing Miu Miu’s archival revival squarely in the spotlight.
