OTW by Vans is once again teaming up with Sterling Ruby’s S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA., and this time, the collaboration feels less like a seasonal drop and more like a meditation on footwear itself. Following the bold patterns and vibrant colours of their previous partnership, the duo now turns its attention to history — revisiting where shoes have been, reworking where they are, and imagining where they might go next.

The new capsule brings that concept to life across three distinct silhouettes: two sneakers rooted in Vans’ heritage, and one unexpected, future-facing reinterpretation of traditional Dutch wooden clogs. Together, they form a quiet conversation between nostalgia and experimentation.
Leading the collection is the Authentic Prima, a reworked version of Vans’ signature Authentic silhouette. Rendered in crisp white, the sneaker nods to vintage tennis shoes and old-school plimsolls, complete with a rubber toe cap and a full leather upper. There’s something unmistakably retro about it — like footwear pulled straight from a Grease-era wardrobe — yet it feels deliberately polished for the present day.
Sitting alongside it is a second Authentic style in black and beige checkerboard, subtly stamped with S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA.’s branding along the sole. It’s a familiar Vans code, softened and elevated, proving that even the most iconic motifs can still feel fresh when handled with restraint.

Then there’s the standout: the Future Clog. Equal parts playful and practical, this silhouette reimagines the chunky form of traditional Dutch clogs through a contemporary lens. Available in bright green or clean white, the design features a removable mule insert, allowing it to transition seamlessly from indoor slipper to outdoor shoe. Comfort meets concept — and somehow, it works.
Available now via Vans and S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA., the capsule feels like a thoughtful reminder that innovation doesn’t always mean starting from scratch.
