Paura and Vans Give the Authentic Sneaker a Punk-Inspired Makeover
Paura

Punk attitude meets skate heritage in the latest collaboration between Paura and Vans, delivering a fresh take on one of the brand’s most beloved silhouettes.

The new Paura x Vans Authentic collection reimagines the classic low-top sneaker through a rebellious lens, blending handcrafted details with a distinctly worn-in aesthetic. Known for its contemporary approach to streetwear, the Italian label brings a bold edge to the iconic design, transforming the everyday sneaker into a statement piece.

Available in two checkerboard-inspired colorways, a timeless black-and-white option and a softer green-and-ivory version, the sneakers feature an airbrushed diamond pattern across the upper, giving the familiar Vans silhouette a fresh, artistic finish. Distressed scuffs and pre-worn details further enhance the lived-in look, reinforcing the collection’s raw, authentic appeal.

The standout feature, however, lies in the custom Italian-made metal hardware. Inspired by body piercings and punk culture, looped bars and bull rings are threaded through the laces and hangtags, creating a jewelry-like effect that instantly sets the sneakers apart. The unconventional detailing adds a rebellious character while elevating the design beyond traditional skate footwear.

Completing the collaboration are co-branded details, including a dual Paura and Vans logo stamped onto the cream-colored insoles, offering a subtle nod to the partnership.

The Paura x Vans Authentic collection will be available to purchase starting June 6 on the Vans and Paura websites, as well as select retailers.
