Salomon Just Gave Its Trail Sneaker a Motorsport Makeover
Salomon is taking its XT family in a sleeker direction.
Following its recent Kith collaboration, the French outdoor brand is introducing the XT-EVO, a streamlined new silhouette that borrows from the XT-4 and XT-6 while pushing the design toward motorsport and early-2000s futurism.
The upper gets sharper and more sculpted, with layered materials and sweeping curved lines that make the sneaker look like it’s moving even when it’s standing still.
Salomon keeps the familiar jumbo mesh and wavy panels associated with the XT range, but adds liquid rubber overlays for extra texture and dimension. Underneath, the tried-and-tested trail-running sole remains.
The debut colourway goes full Y2K nostalgia with red, black and grey, referencing one of the original XT-6 palettes.
It’s built for the trail, but the styling is clearly aimed at the city too.
The Salomon XT-EVO launches September 2 via Salomon and select global retailers.
