Katie Holmes has a lot to smile about this May — and it’s not just the arrival of warmer weather. Her daughter, Suri Cruise, has officially wrapped up her freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University, marking a major milestone for the 19-year-old and a proud parenting moment for Katie.
The Dawson’s Creek alum shares Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise, though the actor is reportedly estranged from both mother and daughter following their split in 2012. Since then, Katie has raised Suri on her own, navigating life in the spotlight with admirable discretion and warmth.
After their move from Los Angeles to New York City post-divorce, Katie and Suri quickly embraced a low-key lifestyle that centered around creativity, independence, and staying grounded despite their A-list background.
