Essential Parfums to Open First UK Store in London’s Soho This October

French fragrance house Essential Parfums is officially making its UK retail debut. The Parisian perfume brand has announced plans to open its first UK boutique and its first standalone store outside France—at 37 Beak Street in Soho, with doors set to open in early October. The new opening further strengthens Soho’s reputation as one of London’s leading destinations for premium international brands launching into the UK market. Founded in Paris in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, Essential Parfums has built a loyal following by offering luxury fragrances created in collaboration with some of the world’s most respected perfumers, while keeping pricing relatively accessible. The new 795-square-foot boutique will showcase the brand’s signature fragrance collection, including creations by celebrated perfumers Calice Becker, Quentin Bisch, and Nathalie Lorson. Inspired by elegant Parisian apartments and the brand’s existing French boutiques, the Soho space will feature a refined, minimalist interior designed to keep the spotlight firmly on the fragrances. Alongside its perfumes, shoppers will also find a curated range of candles, hand creams, and hair and body mists. For Archambault, the London opening marks a major milestone in the company’s international growth. “Our upcoming launch in Soho marks an exciting new chapter for Essential Parfums, as we open our first standalone store outside of France,” she said. “Expanding into the UK market has been a natural next step for the brand, allowing us to share our approach to modern perfumery with a new community of fragrance enthusiasts. Finding the right location was essential, and Soho offers the perfect environment to bring Essential Parfums to the UK, placing us in a high-footfall destination with a highly engaged demographic eager to discover new retail experiences.” The opening has also been welcomed by Shaftesbury Capital, the landlord behind the Beak Street location, which sees the signing as another endorsement of Soho’s growing reputation among global premium brands. William Oliver, Director of Retail and Restaurant Leasing at Shaftesbury Capital, said the arrival of Essential Parfums reinforces Soho’s appeal as a destination where international brands can successfully establish themselves in the UK. “Essential Parfums feels like a natural fit for the neighbourhood, and being just around the corner from Carnaby Street, it joins a district built on creativity, discovery and premium experiences,” he said. He added that introducing the brand’s first standalone boutique outside France further strengthens Soho’s distinctive retail offering while giving visitors an experience they cannot find anywhere else in the UK.
