Taylor Swift is officially off the market, and yes, she managed to announce it in the most Taylor way possible. On 26 August, the pop superstar dropped the bombshell on Instagram with a photo of her and Travis Kelce surrounded by flowers, captioning it simply: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Subtle? No. Adorable? Absolutely.

Swift wore a breezy striped Ralph Lauren dress while flashing an engagement ring that could probably power a small village (an elongated cushion-cut diamond, if you’re into details).

The engagement comes nearly two years after their first public outing at a Kansas City Chiefs game in 2023. Since then, their romance has played out like a Netflix rom-com: Kelce cheering in the Eras Tour crowd, Taylor running onto the pitch after the Super Bowl, and the couple spotted on cosy New York dinners.
But despite living under the brightest of spotlights, the two have kept their relationship refreshingly low-key. No cringey couple TikToks, no over-the-top PDA campaigns—just little glimpses here and there. Kelce even admitted in an interview that dating Taylor comes with paparazzi literally everywhere, but he’s not fazed: “When she’s just living life, I better not be the one acting all strange.”

The pair most recently popped up on the New Heights podcast (hosted by Kelce’s brother, Jason) to announce Taylor’s 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl. So, album incoming, wedding incoming… 2025 is looking very booked for the Swifties.
Now the real question: will Taylor walk down the aisle in Ralph Lauren, or will she pull a curveball and go full vintage chic? Place your bets.
