Some sneakers come and go, but the Clarks Wallabee has remained a footwear icon for decades. This season, the British shoemaker is giving its most recognisable silhouette a fresh update with the launch of the Wallabee Lite, blending the timeless design fans know with a lighter, more comfortable feel.
Inspired by an archival silhouette first introduced in 1986, the Wallabee Lite has been re-engineered for modern everyday wear without losing the signature moccasin shape that made the original a classic.
At the heart of the redesign is a newly developed high-density EVA sole, replacing the traditional crepe outsole with a lighter alternative that delivers enhanced comfort and flexibility. The shoe also features a removable foam footbed for extra cushioning, making it ideal for all-day wear.
Crafted from premium suede, the Wallabee Lite stays true to Clarks Originals’ heritage while introducing thoughtful contemporary details. Each pair comes with two lace options—classic tonal flat laces and round tonal-and-white flecked laces—allowing wearers to switch up the look depending on their style.
Signature heat-embossed Clarks Originals fobs, branded heel detailing, and the iconic Originals sock liner preserve the authentic design language that has defined the Wallabee for generations.
The collection launches in six seasonal colourways: Maple Suede, Cola Suede, Grey Suede, Black Suede, Red Suede, and Dusty Pink Suede. Among the standout options are the minimalist Grey Suede, featuring a tonal grey EVA sole, and the Dusty Pink Suede, which pairs a muted pink upper with a neutral beige sole for a softer, fashion-forward finish.
Designed to slot effortlessly into both casual and elevated wardrobes, the Wallabee Lite offers a contemporary take on one of footwear’s most enduring silhouettes.
The Clarks Wallabee Lite launches globally on July 24, with prices starting at £75 / €99 / $100. The collection will be available through Clarks stores, the brand’s website, and selected retailers, including JD Sports and Snipes.
