Some football shirts are more than just kits—they’re memories. For Arsenal supporters, few colours carry as much nostalgia as yellow, and now it’s officially back.
adidas has unveiled Arsenal’s 2026/27 third kit, marking the return of the club’s iconic yellow colourway for the first time in five seasons. Blending heritage with modern performance, the new design draws inspiration from what the brand calls the “Arsenal State of Mind,” celebrating the community, creativity, and unwavering connection shared by Gunners fans around the world.
At first glance, the shirt will feel instantly familiar.
The design closely echoes Arsenal’s much-loved 2021/22 away kit, reviving its soft pale yellow base with only subtle updates. The red and navy trim around the collar has been slightly rearranged, while adidas’ signature three stripes appear in a bolder, wider format across the shoulders, giving the jersey a sharper contemporary finish.
According to adidas, the warm yellow tone reflects the golden evening light that settles over North London during summer, creating a colour palette that feels both nostalgic and unmistakably Arsenal.
The details reward a closer look.
Woven into the fabric is the club’s signature lightning graphic, a subtle nod to the cult-favourite away shirts of the mid-1990s that remain fan favourites decades later. The simplified cannon crest returns proudly on the chest, while the sponsor logos are rendered in matching navy to complement the collar and shoulder accents. Completing the kit are navy shorts featuring the same tonal lightning motif.
To mark the launch, Arsenal and adidas have released the club’s first-ever animated campaign, bringing together football, fashion, and fan culture in one vibrant film.
The campaign stars model and lifelong Arsenal supporter Adwoa Aboah alongside first-team players Alessia Russo, Martin Zubimendi, Steph Catley, and Noni Madueke, capturing the shared spirit that connects generations of Arsenal supporters across the globe.
Reflecting on the new strip, Arsenal Women’s forward Alessia Russo said:
“Being part of Arsenal means being part of something bigger than yourself. There’s a sense of belief, ambition and togetherness that connects everyone who loves this club.”
She added that the “Arsenal State of Mind” represents supporters and players being “part of the same journey” as they create new memories together throughout the season.
Beyond its heritage-inspired design, the jersey is built using adidas’ latest performance technology, ensuring it delivers comfort on the pitch while remaining a standout option for supporters off it.
With the return of one of the club’s most beloved colourways and a design rooted firmly in Arsenal’s history, the 2026/27 third kit is poised to become another favourite among Gunners fans.
The Arsenal 2026/27 third kit is available now through adidas, Arsenal, and selected retailers.
