PUMA and JiyongKim Give the CELL Geo a Weathered, Time-Worn Finish

PUMA and Korean designer JiyongKim are dropping a new sneaker that looks like it has been left outside in the rain for a long time. The shoe is called the PUMA x JiyongKim CELL Geo, and it hits stores on November 7, 2026. It is the second time these two have worked together, and it is easily the most unusual collab PUMA has done this year.

The CELL Geo is a futuristic running shoe. It has a sharp, geometric shape and a split heel that looks like it came from the year 2100. But JiyongKim took that clean, techy shape and made it look old. The fabric is distressed. The laces are frayed. The surface has irregular stains and color changes that look like dirt, mold, and humidity left their mark over time. The whole idea comes from aged paper. Think of an old book that has been sitting in a damp basement. That is the look JiyongKim wanted on this shoe.

JiyongKim is known for using the sun to bleach his fabrics. He leaves cloth outside for long periods and lets nature change the color. That process is called sun-bleaching, and it is the core of his design style. For this PUMA collab, he brought that same idea to a sneaker. The result is a shoe that looks brand new and old at the same time.

The shoe keeps the CELL Geo’s technical build. The split heel unit is still there. The laces are still partially hidden under the upper. The overall shape is still smooth and streamlined. But on top of all that, you get the weathered, hand-treated finish that makes it feel like no two pairs will look exactly the same.

There are two colorways. The main one is a light tone that is available worldwide. There is also a black edition that is only sold through JiyongKim’s own stores and website. That black version is limited, so if you want it, you will need to be fast.

You can buy the PUMA x JiyongKim CELL Geo on PUMA.com, in PUMA flagship stores, at select stockists, and on JiyongKim’s online store and his flagship in Seoul. In Japan, the shoe drops a week later on November 14 at GR8, and there will be a pop-up store there for the release.

On launch day, PUMA and JiyongKim are also hosting a one-day exhibition in Seoul at a space called Arumjigi in Jongno-gu. It runs from 11 am to 6 pm on November 7. You can see the shoes up close, along with old sneakers and materials that show the marks of time. It is a good look at how the design came together
