The Oscar-winning actress left everyone (and their phones) stunned after casually jumping on stage at Madison Square Garden during Role Model’s performance of his TikTok-fave track ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out’. Cue the screaming. Cue the reposts. Cue the chaos.
In case you missed it, Role Model — real name Tucker Pillsbury — invites a surprise “Sally” on stage at every show. But no one expected Queen Natalie to be the one dancing her way into the spotlight. A fan-shot video quickly exploded on TikTok before landing everywhere else, helped along by Pillsbury himself, who reposted it with the cheeky caption “Sally Portman.” Iconic.
So, why was Portman there? Turns out the pair are co-starring in Good Sex, a romantic comedy currently filming in New York, directed by Lena Dunham. Portman plays a 40-something couples therapist exploring love’s messier chapters, while Pillsbury makes his acting debut. Also on board: Meg Ryan, Rashida Jones, and Mark Ruffalo — yeah, it’s giving major cast energy.
And let’s not forget the song. ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out’ has been living rent-free in everyone’s brain since February. It’s a breakout from Role Model’s latest album Kansas Anymore, and now it’s forever linked to Portman’s surprise cameo energy.
