Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show Returns… But Did Anyone Watch It?

Meghan Markle is back on Netflix with Season 2 of With Love, Meghan. But instead of royal scandals, jaw-dropping revelations or family feuds, this round was all about lifestyle charm — guest celebs, cosy chats, and a lot less drama. Which begs the question: did people still tune in?

ABOVE: Meghan Markle & Prince Harry

Turns out, not really. Unlike its buzzy debut, the second season didn’t make Netflix’s Top 10 in the US, UK, or globally. While Season 1 grabbed 2.6 million views and 12.6 million hours in its first week, Season 2 was overshadowed by heavy-hitters like Wednesday Season 2, Hostage, and Katrina: Come Hell and High Water. Basically, Meghan’s “quiet luxury of television” moment didn’t quite land with the masses.

Still, it’s not all bad news. Netflix loves Markle (and the Sussex brand in general), especially since her lifestyle venture As Ever saw its first drop of honey, jams, rosé, and flower sprinkles sell out in minutes. And with an ad-supported Netflix tier now in play, a third season — or at least a holiday special — could still be on the cards.

Money talk has been swirling too, with reports that Meghan and Harry have slimmed down their staff and tightened their budgets. On her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, Markle admitted she knows all too well the “fear” of running out of money — a confession that feels a little ironic, given those multimillion-dollar deals.

So, while With Love, Meghan Season 2 might not have dominated the charts, Meghan and Harry aren’t completely out of the Netflix spotlight just yet. Think of it less “royal blockbuster” and more “quiet streaming companion” — the kind you put on with a glass of wine (rosé, naturally).
