Jennie Reinvents “Human Chanel” With an Edgier Stage Wardrobe in Singapore

Jennie’s fans didn’t crown her “Human Chanel” for nothing. During a recent performance in Singapore, the BLACKPINK star once again proved her fluency in the house’s visual language — only this time, she rewrote it. Gone was Chanel’s familiar softness, replaced with something sharper, more rebellious, and unmistakably Jennie.

The singer opened the show in a burgundy leather Chanel bomber jacket, accented with gold hardware and an embossed CC logo stamped boldly across the back. Beneath it, she wore little more than a black Chanel bra, layered for dimension and attitude. A black mini skirt, Y2K-inspired glasses, and a deliberate flash of burgundy underwear peeking above the waistband added a provocative edge, a confident nod to early-2000s styling with modern intent.

Midway through the performance, Jennie shifted gears, stepping into her own take on the Canadian tuxedo courtesy of Schiaparelli. The double-denim look revolved around a cropped jacket with a sculpted bodice, exaggerated sleeves, and statement gold buttons. She paired it with matching shorts, cinched at the waist with Schiaparelli’s now-signature stacked gold-and-black “mutant belt,” a piece that has become a recurring motif in her stage wardrobe. Fans may remember a similar doubled-waist styling moment during her Indonesia performance.

But the most daring look of the night arrived last. Jennie took biker-core to its extreme with a bra engineered to resemble a motorcycle jacket, layered beneath a navy nylon outer shell. Distressed micro-shorts complete with zips, cut-outs, and a faux thong detail pushed the ensemble firmly into experimental territory. Finished with black go-go boots and sleek glasses, the look balanced aggression with precision.

Across three outfits, one message rang clear: Jennie doesn’t just wear clothes, she performs them. Whether channeling Chanel’s codes or dismantling them entirely, she continues to set the benchmark for stage style.

No one does it quite like Jennie.
