Denim Tears Taps Lauryn Hill and Family for SS26 Denim Campaign

Denim Tears is making its Spring/Summer 2026 return feel deeply personal by centering legacy, family, and cultural continuity.

To mark the revival of its DENIM TEARS DENIM program, the brand tapped none other than Lauryn Hill, alongside her children—Zion, Selah, Joshua, John, Sara, and Micah for a campaign that feels less like a rollout and more like a statement on lineage.

Shot by Liam MacRae, the visuals lean into intimacy and connection, aligning perfectly with the themes behind the collection. It’s not just about denim—it’s about what gets passed down, what’s shared, and what lasts.

At the core of the drop is the return of the brand’s signature denim program, now restocked and expanded with new design elements. One of the standout additions is the Jacquard Cotton Wreath finish, introducing a textured, graphic layer to familiar silhouettes. The motif—abstract and floral appears across jackets, baggy jeans, and tote bags, giving the pieces a bold but thoughtful identity.

There’s also a shift in tone with new washes. A faded, distressed, slightly worn-in finish adds a rugged edge, offering contrast to the cleaner, more classic styles that Denim Tears is known for. Alongside that, the collection still delivers on staples—lightweight Japanese selvedge denim, heavyweight light washes, and easy, wearable cuts that sit at the intersection of heritage and streetwear.

Bringing Lauryn Hill and her family into the campaign wasn’t just a casting decision—it reinforces the idea that fashion, like culture, is inherited, reinterpreted, and lived in.

The SS26 collection is now available via the brand’s website and select retailers.
