When Nollywood announces an “Owambe Glam” dress code, one thing is guaranteed: the stars are going to arrive dressed for a celebration worthy of royalty. And at the premiere of Ajosepo 2: The Gathering, the cast and guests delivered exactly that.
From richly embroidered aso-oke looks to dramatic geles and regal accessories, the event transformed into a full-scale display of Nigerian party fashion at its finest — the kind of glamour that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into an extravagant Lagos wedding celebration.

Leading the night’s standout fashion moments was Timini Egbuson, who plays groom-to-be Jide in the upcoming film. Rather than opting for the expected shimmering fabrics often associated with owambe styling, the actor embraced a more refined traditional aesthetic.
He appeared in a structured deep-blue agbada crafted from richly textured fabric, pairing the look with bold red coral beads layered around his neck and wrists. A matching red fila added contrast to the ensemble, while a white ìrùkẹ̀rẹ̀ completed the regal finish.

Co-star Bolaji Ogunmola, who portrays Mary, leaned fully into bridal elegance with a beautifully tailored cream aso-oke ensemble. Her blouse featured softly exaggerated sleeves accented with intricate purple rope embroidery along the neckline and cuffs, while the matching layered skirt echoed the same detailing near the hem.
She completed the look with a perfectly styled white gele, delivering a modern yet distinctly traditional bridal aesthetic that fit seamlessly into the evening’s celebratory theme.
Beyond the lead stars, guests also embraced the brief with elaborate custom traditional looks, richly woven fabrics and statement accessories that turned the premiere venue into what felt less like a film event and more like an elite wedding reception.
Directed by Kayode Kasum, Ajosepo 2: The Gathering continues the story introduced in the original film, picking up two years later as Jide and Mary prepare for their wedding. Their upcoming union reunites an already chaotic extended family, setting the stage for another round of drama, comedy and unexpected revelations.
The ensemble cast includes Timini Egbuson, Bolaji Ogunmola, Mike Afolarin, Tomike Adeoye, Toyin Abraham and several other familiar Nollywood faces.
Ajosepo 2: The Gathering is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on May 28, 2026.
