Alisha Boe Becomes the New Face of YSL Beauty’s Iconic Black Opium Fragrance

Alisha Boe is stepping into a bold new beauty role. The 13 Reasons Why actress has been announced as the newest global ambassador for YSL Beauty’s iconic Black Opium fragrance, becoming the latest face of one of the beauty world’s most recognizable perfumes.

The appointment marks a new chapter for the fragrance, which has become synonymous with confidence, nightlife, and unapologetic self-expression since its debut in 2014.

Speaking about the partnership, the 29-year-old actress described the opportunity as one that felt completely natural.

“I think in some way or another we all have a link with Black Opium—it is such an iconic fragrance,” Boe told WWD.

She added that she has always connected with what the fragrance represents.

“I’ve always loved what the fragrance represents, and I think that is what drew me to it most. She’s the cool ‘It’ girl with a magnetic aura—yet relatable and fun—and I guess in some ways, I’ve always seen parts of myself in the ‘Black Opium’ girl.”

Boe also described joining the YSL Beauty family as a dream she never expected.

“Being the face of Black Opium feels like the most organic partnership I could ever have asked for, and becoming part of the YSL Beauty family is a dream I never even knew I had.”

Alongside Boe’s appointment, YSL Beauty has also unveiled Black Opium Pink Glaze, a fresh gourmand interpretation of the original fragrance.

The new scent introduces sweet strawberry-inspired notes while maintaining the bold, addictive identity that has made Black Opium a global bestseller. The campaign reflects Boe’s effortless blend of confidence, authenticity, and cool-girl energy, qualities the brand believes perfectly capture the spirit of the fragrance.
