Perfectly made doesn’t always mean perfectly interesting. That’s the idea behind Francesco Risso’s latest UNIQLO F.RISSO collection, where the designer is using modern knitting technology to recreate something machines aren’t usually celebrated for: the irregular beauty of handmade clothing.
Titled Made for Dreaming, the Fall 2026 collection follows the colourful debut of F.RISSO earlier this year. This time, the focus shifts to knitwear, with soft textures, familiar silhouettes and a more considered approach to everyday winter dressing.

At the heart of the collection is a contrast between technology and craftsmanship. Risso explores how seamless, machine-engineered knitwear can still carry the character and intimacy associated with garments made by hand. Rather than treating imperfections as flaws, he sees them as part of what makes clothing feel personal.
The wardrobe itself is refreshingly straightforward. Turtlenecks, mock-neck sweaters, knitted polos, V-necks and boat-neck styles arrive in an ultra-fine merino wool blend, offering lightweight warmth without unnecessary bulk. HEATTECH socks and beanies complete the collection, bringing UNIQLO’s practical winter essentials into Risso’s design language.

It’s a quieter proposition than the designer’s colourful Spring/Summer 2026 introduction, but no less intentional. Where the first collection introduced his creative identity, Made for Dreaming explores how that identity translates into clothes people can reach for every day.
The UNIQLO F.RISSO 2026 Knitwear collection launches October 29 in UNIQLO stores and online.
