Jessie J hospitalised Following Breast Cancer Surgery as she shares new details about her health

Jessie J is no stranger to sharing her life — the highs, the heartbreaks, and now, her health. The singer, 37, revealed she’s been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, and in true Jessie style, she’s tackling it with honesty, humour, and a healthy dose of sass.

The announcement came in early June, just as she was preparing to release her latest track No Secrets. Now, following a brief hospital stay on 3 August due to fluid in her lungs, the pop star has decided to hit pause and prioritise her recovery.

“I’ve always shared everything I go through,” she said in a heartfelt Instagram video. “Sharing connects me to other people, to their stories, and makes me feel less alone.” Cue us crying into our herbal teas.

Even while processing a life-altering diagnosis, Jessie still managed to joke: “It’s quite a dramatic way to get a boob job.” With surgery ahead, she teased fans by saying, “After the Summertime Ball, I’ll disappear for a bit… and I’ll be back with huge boobs and more music.” We’ll be waiting — tissues, playlists, and all.

The good news? Her prognosis is positive. But her recent hospitalisation has sparked concern. While a blood clot was ruled out, doctors are still keeping a close eye on an ongoing infection. Jessie, in her usual no-nonsense way, discharged herself: “I hate being in hospital.”

She’s long been open about her health — from a heart condition diagnosed in childhood to fertility struggles and the loss of her voice. Yet through it all, she’s remained as real as they come.
