Jonathan Anderson is giving UGG’s familiar shearling boots a fresh perspective, and the details are worth a closer look. At first glance, the new collaboration retains the California label’s signature chestnut suede and cosy silhouette. Look closer, however, and whipstitched accents inspired by penny loafers introduce an unexpected twist.
The detailing echoes a signature motif across Anderson’s JW Anderson footwear and bags, bringing the designer’s playful approach to everyday essentials into the world of cold-weather dressing. Available in chestnut, khaki and orange, the boots and slippers balance UGG’s trademark comfort with chunky proportions and a more distinctive finish.

The accompanying campaign stars Dev Hynes, also known as Blood Orange, in a series of domestic scenes celebrating the small rituals of everyday life. Styled by Anderson himself, the imagery reflects the collaboration’s shared interest in comfort, design and the beauty of familiar objects.
Rather than reinventing the classic UGG boot entirely, Anderson makes a case for the power of thoughtful details, proving that even the most familiar wardrobe staples can benefit from a little experimentation.
The Jonathan Anderson x UGG collection launches on October 15 via the UGG and JW Anderson websites.
