Louis Vuitton Unveils Bespoke Trophy Trunk for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final

Louis Vuitton is once again bringing luxury craftsmanship to football’s biggest stage. The French fashion house has unveiled the bespoke Trophy Trunk that will carry and showcase the FIFA World Cup Trophy during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, continuing a tradition that has become one of the tournament’s most iconic pre-match moments.

The specially designed trunk will transport the coveted trophy to the pitch ahead of the final, where it will be presented during the official ceremony by a Louis Vuitton ambassador alongside a FIFA Legend. The ritual, which began at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, has become a signature part of the tournament’s grand finale.

Crafted by hand, the trunk features Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas, elevated with hand-painted gold “V” panels representing both Victory and Vuitton. Gold-plated brass hardware, leather trims, and the House’s signature locks reinforce the brand’s renowned craftsmanship, while the interior is lined with soft beige leather and finished with a bespoke Louis Vuitton–FIFA partnership emblem.

The unveiling marks the fifth consecutive FIFA World Cup for which Louis Vuitton has designed the official Trophy Trunk, following editions in South Africa (2010), Brazil (2014), Russia (2018), and Qatar (2022). The collaboration forms part of the luxury house’s long-running “Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton” campaign, celebrating the union of exceptional craftsmanship and sporting excellence.

FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai said the partnership reflects the prestige of football’s greatest prize.

“Louis Vuitton brings a unique blend of heritage, craftsmanship and prestige to the FIFA World Cup. The Official Trophy is the most coveted prize in world football, and it is only fitting that it is carried in a Louis Vuitton trunk. The moment it is brought onto the pitch ahead of the final match will once again be a highlight, connecting tradition with the pinnacle of modern football.”

Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari also highlighted the shared values between the two global institutions.

“For over a decade, Louis Vuitton and FIFA have shared an unwavering commitment to excellence, bound by a shared belief in sport’s power to inspire and bring people together. At its heart stands the world’s most coveted trophy—a symbol of dedication, collective ambition and the ultimate celebration of victory.”

Beyond football, Louis Vuitton has continued to strengthen its presence in global sport through bespoke trophy trunks for Formula 1, the NBA, the Ballon d’Or, the Rugby World Cup, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games
