Osas Ighodaro and Veekee James Turn a Movie Promo Into a Bridal Fashion Fantasy
Osas Ighodaro understood the assignment: if you’re promoting a wedding movie, you might as well look like the bride of everyone’s dreams.
For the promotional shoot of A Mama Deola Wedding Story, the actress slipped into a custom Veekee James gown that delivered full-scale bridal couture.
The bodice was the star of the show, sheer, corseted and covered in crystals and pearls that shimmered from her shoulders down to the waist.
Then came the drama.
The fitted top opened into a heavily embroidered lace skirt and sweeping train, giving the gown that grand, old-Hollywood quality without losing its distinctly Nigerian couture feel.
A crystal-dotted veil pushed the bridal fantasy even further, while Osas kept her beauty look polished and understated with a sleek updo and radiant makeup.

And the setting understood the assignment too. Gold candelabras, candles and mirrored arches transformed the shoot into something that looked less like a film promo and more like a luxury wedding editorial.
But the real magic is the Osas Ighodaro x Veekee James pairing. The two have repeatedly shown that when they collaborate, the result rarely feels like just another gown.
This one feels like a wedding dress with its own movie credit.
With A Mama Deola Wedding Story premiering in Lagos on September 2, the film’s “White Wedding Couture” dress code was already promising fashion.
