Pharrell Williams and adidas are giving their Virginia Adistar Jellyfish another moment in the spotlight, this time with a much quieter colour palette.
The latest version of the collaborative sneaker arrives in a tonal tan finish, bringing a more understated look to one of the boldest silhouettes in the Pharrell x adidas partnership.
Pharrell was actually spotted wearing the pair months before its release. The sneaker made an early appearance on his feet at the 2026 MOBO Awards in March, where he was honoured with the Global Songwriter award.
Now, the unreleased pair is finally getting its turn.
The tan shade covers almost the entire engineered mesh upper and the cage-like overlay panels, creating a monochromatic base that lets the sneaker’s unusual shape do the talking.

There are, however, a few details breaking up all that tan. The signature Three Stripes appear along the sides, while light blue accents add a subtle contrast to the tongue and sections of the heel. A black outsole finishes the design.
The real statement remains the sneaker’s exaggerated architecture.
The flowing midsole takes inspiration from the movement of a jellyfish, giving the shoe its distinctive sculptural profile and making it look almost as much like an art object as a piece of footwear. It also comes with the collaboration’s signature glow-in-the-dark detailing, adding another surprise once the lights go down.
This latest colourway proves that the Jellyfish doesn’t necessarily need a loud colour combination to make an entrance. By stripping the palette back to tan, Pharrell and adidas allow the construction, proportions and unusual sole to take centre stage.
The Pharrell x adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish “Tan” launches globally on August 22 for $300.
