TTSWTRS is making darkness look seriously intentional.

For its latest collection, “Black Orchid,” the Ukrainian label explores the relationship between the body, tattoo art and Japanese visual culture, creating pieces that feel part fashion, part armour.

The collection moves between extremes. Sheer second-skin pieces cling closely to the body, while oversized streetwear, heavy knitwear, sculpted denim and structured tailoring add volume and protection.

Japanese influence appears without taking over the clothes. Kimono-inspired shapes, calligraphic details, artist seals and the brand’s new black-orchid “mon” bring a sense of symbolism to the collection.

Then there are the tattoos.

Artwork from tattoo artists including Nissaco, Senshin Irezumi and Longboy has been translated onto clothing through digital and silicone printing, embroidery and other techniques, turning the garments into moving canvases.

TTSWTRS also brings back its anatomical cut-outs, with jeans and leggings designed around the natural lines of the body rather than simply sitting on top of it.

The result is unapologetically dark, body-conscious and a little rebellious, exactly the kind of fashion that doesn’t ask to be softened.
