Bad Gyal Gives Dsquared2’s Roxy Bag a Y2K-Western Attitude

Bad Gyal is giving Dsquared2’s new Roxy Bag exactly the kind of attention it was made for.

The Spanish singer stars alongside model Noah Brown in the brand’s latest campaign, photographed by Hugo Comte. Set between Barcelona and dusty Western landscapes, the images tap into the flashy, paparazzi-heavy glamour of the early 2000s.

Bad Gyal leans fully into the mood. One look pairs a colourful lace-trimmed camisole with tiny shorts, silver sandals and the metallic Roxy Bag. Another goes darker, with a black halter bodysuit, oversized silver buckles and lace-up heels winding up her legs.

The bag itself takes a more polished approach to cowboy dressing. Saddle-inspired leather, chunky hardware and long harness-like straps give it a distinctly Dsquared2 edge without turning it into a costume piece.

There is also a little archive nostalgia behind the design. The Roxy Bag references Dsquared2’s Spring/Summer 2006 collection, including a logo typeface lifted from an archival piece chosen by founders Dean and Dan Caten.

Since becoming Dsquared2’s Global Brand Ambassador in June, Bad Gyal has quickly become a natural fit for the label’s provocative mix of sex appeal, Americana and celebrity attitude.
