Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes of 2026 (So Far)
Kim Kardashian

Halloween 2026 is already breaking the internet. And not because of ghosts or pumpkins. This year, the best celebrity costumes have one thing in common: they are personal, a little messy, and a lot of fun. No one is dressing as a generic vampire. Everyone is going after a real person they know, love, or are trying to make fun of.

It all started on October 20, when Kim Kardashian posted a photo of herself dressed as her 13-year-old daughter, North West. She wore a bright turquoise wig, fake face piercings, a black grill, long black nails, and goth clothes. Her sister Khloé just commented “Twins!!!!!!” on the post. Kim shared the look the night before her 46th birthday, and it quickly became the most talked-about costume of the season.

North West

But the story does not stop there. North West herself dressed as Natalie Nunn from the show Baddies. The 13-year-old put on a prosthetic chin, an angled bob haircut, and a necklace that said “Baddies.” She posted it on TikTok with a caption that just said “1st Halloween costume.” Later, she also showed up as Raven from Teen Titans with a purple cloak and a red gem on her forehead.

Nunn did not let this go. She posted her own costume: North West. Turquoise pigtails, a studded collar, the whole thing. She captioned it “Uno reverse 🔄 @northwest.” Now you have a mom, a daughter, and a reality star all dressed as each other. That is the kind of story that makes people share.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton did two costumes, because of course she did. First, she went as Britney Spears in the 2001 VMA “I’m a Slave 4 U” look, complete with a live python around her neck. It is her fourth Halloween in a row paying tribute to Britney. She told Billboard that “Britney is not only an icon, but also a dear friend.” Then, she came back with a second look: Belle from Beauty and the Beast, with her kids Phoenix and London as Chip and Lumière. She got some heat online for not letting her 2-year-old be Belle, but the family photo was still a hit.

Chloe Bailey went full Family Guy and dressed as “Hot Meg” Griffin. Pink beanie, glasses, a tiny denim skirt, a pink strapless top, and silver knee-high boots. She basically broke the internet with it.

At the Hulaween Gala in New York, Cyndi Lauper showed up in a fancy masquerade look first, then switched into a full Ursula costume to perform a Halloween version of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” called “Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun.” She was joined by Bette Midler.

Benito Skinner and Owen Thiele went as PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson from their “Stateside” music video. Plaid skirts, airbrushed baby tees, the whole vibe. It tied into one of the biggest songs of 2026, which hit No. 6 on the Hot 100.

Lizzo surprised everyone by going as Seiko Ayase from the anime and manga series Dandadan. It was a big move because most celebrity costumes lean on Western movies and pop stars. Lizzo went anime, and it showed how much the culture has shifted.

Keke Palmer and her son Leodis went as Janet and Michael Jackson from their “Scream” music video. It was a clean, easy-to-recognize look that still felt fresh.

Victoria Justice

Victoria Justice and a lookalike friend went as the Grady twins from The Shining. Two girls in matching white dresses. Simple, creepy, perfect for Halloween.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monáe went all out with a four-hour transformation into a green swamp-zombie she called “Ghostess With the Mostess.” Swirly fake eye, a wound on her neck that looked like it was spurting. It was the most commitment-heavy costume of the bunch.

Kali Uchis

Kali Uchis revisited Natalie Portman’s pink-wigged Alice from the movie Closer. It was a quiet, artsy pick in a year full of loud ones.

The bigger trend this year is clear. Celebrities are not picking random movie villains or cartoon characters. They are dressing as people in their own lives, people they are friends with, people they are feuding with, or people the internet is already talking about. Tana Mongeau did three costumes in one night: Erika Kirk, Elizabeth Holmes, and Hila Klein. Ella Travolta went as Elizabeth Holmes too. The message is simple: if the internet is mad about you, dress as you.

That is what makes 2026 different. The costumes are not just outfits. They are conversations. And honestly, that is the best kind of Halloween costume you can get.
