Duran Lantink Turns Up the Heat for Jean Paul Gaultier SS26

If Amsterdam’s RoXY club and Jean Paul Gaultier’s ‘90s Junior line had a love child, it would probably look a lot like this.

Duran Lantink’s SS26 debut for Jean Paul Gaultier wasn’t just a fashion show — it was a provocation, a party, and a dare rolled into one. Fresh off the chaos of his controversial Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Lantink stepped into the sacred JPG atelier with one clear agenda: to make you squirm, gasp, and maybe even applaud (in that order).

Titled “JUNIOR,” the collection was Lantink’s nostalgic remix of the era that made him fall for Gaultier in the first place — the wild ‘80s and ‘90s. Only this time, it came with a twist of body hair, blown-up swimwear, and pure sensory overload.

Jean Paul Gaultier

“Fashion as freedom,” he said — and freedom here looked like trompe l’oeil naked bodies, 3D tattoos, mariniere stripes, and cut-outs so sharp they could start a scandal. It was equal parts erotic art and wearable rebellion — the kind of fashion moment that makes people argue in comment sections.

And if you’re wondering where the madness came from, blame “Het RoXY Archief, 1988–1999” by Dutch photographer Cleo Campert. The book chronicles Amsterdam’s notorious RoXY nightclub — a den of hedonism, art, and debauchery that redefined nightlife culture. It’s no wonder Lantink drew from that same energy: bold, chaotic, and unapologetically alive.

Because if there’s one thing Jean Paul Gaultier has always stood for, it’s not being polite. And Duran Lantink clearly got the memo.
