Birkenstock has always been about comfort. ETRO has never been afraid of decoration.
Put the two together and suddenly the humble clog and sandal have a very different personality.
For Fall 2026, the brands have joined forces on a capsule that takes two Birkenstock classics, the Boston clog and Gizeh sandal and gives them an unmistakably bohemian ETRO treatment.
The Boston, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, arrives in chocolate brown and cream suede with swirling feather-and-vine embroidery. Its familiar shape gets a tougher finish with leather straps, Western-inspired buckles and ETRO’s signature paisley.

Then there is the Gizeh, which gets even more playful. Its T-shaped straps are covered in long fringe, bringing one of fall’s biggest texture trends straight to the sandal. Gold-toned rivets featuring ETRO’s Pegaso emblem add another layer of detail.
Even the details underneath the shoes get the collaboration treatment. The familiar cork-latex footbed is wrapped in tonal leather, while the outsole combines Birkenstock’s bone-pattern tread with ETRO’s paisley motif.
The result feels less like Birkenstock stepping away from its identity and more like its everyday staples getting dressed up for a completely different occasion.
The first chapter of BIRKENSTOCK by ETRO is available now through ETRO, BIRKENSTOCK 1774 and select retailers worldwide, with more releases expected in the coming months.
