Gohar World and ASICS Give the Sneaker a Surrealist Makeover
ASICS is getting a decidedly softer makeover.
For their first-ever sneaker collaboration, New York lifestyle and homeware label Gohar World has teamed up with ASICS to reimagine the new GEL-DS TRAINER SP.
Founded by sisters Laila and Nadia Gohar, Gohar World takes the sporty DNA of a mid-2000s track shoe and mixes it with the delicate silhouette of a traditional ballet flat. The result is a low-profile sneaker that feels part runner, part ballet slipper and completely unexpected.
The design keeps ASICS’ performance credentials intact, with its TRUSSTIC support unit and rearfoot GEL technology providing stability and cushioning.

It’s a collision of opposites: athletic heritage meets hyperfeminine styling, proving that a sneaker doesn’t have to look aggressively sporty to perform.
As Laila Gohar puts it, the shoe is designed to move effortlessly from morning market runs to evenings around the table.
The limited-edition Gohar World x ASICS GEL-DS TRAINER SP launches September 1, exclusively through Gohar World.
