The art of setting a table is getting a more playful makeover. Australian lifestyle brand Hommey, known for its colourful bedding, robes and home essentials, is expanding into tableware with Hommey Dining, a collection designed to make everyday meals feel a little less ordinary.
The launch brings together handmade ceramic plates, bowls, mugs and platters with stainless steel cutlery, napkin rings and cotton table linens. Rather than sticking to matching sets, the pieces are designed to be combined freely, with Butter and Caramel neutrals sitting alongside vibrant Boysenberry and Capri shades.

For founder Justin Kestelman, the collection is about changing the way people approach dining at home. He believes the table has lost some of its place as a space for creativity and connection, with entertaining increasingly treated as a performance rather than an opportunity to enjoy time together.
That philosophy shapes the collection’s emphasis on practical design. The tableware is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, making the pieces suitable for everyday meals as well as more elaborate gatherings. The idea is simple: good design should be used, not reserved for special occasions.

With Hommey Dining, the brand extends its signature approach to colour and comfort beyond the bedroom and into another central part of the home, encouraging people to make even an ordinary dinner feel worth gathering around.
The collection is available to shop through Hommey’s website.
