Sportswear just got a major fashion upgrade. French designer Marine Serre and Under Armour have officially joined forces for their first-ever collaboration, delivering a collection that seamlessly blends high-performance athletic wear with contemporary fashion.
Drawing inspiration from Under Armour’s late-2000s archives, the capsule reimagines some of the brand’s most recognizable performance pieces through Serre’s unmistakable design perspective. Known for her ability to fuse function, sustainability and futuristic aesthetics, the designer brings a fresh energy to classic training essentials, transforming them into elevated wardrobe staples that feel equally at home in the gym, on the streets or on the runway.
The collaboration is deeply personal for Serre, who was once a competitive tennis player. That athletic background informs the collection’s focus on movement, comfort and versatility. At its core is Under Armour’s signature HeatGear fabric, reworked into sleek, body-contouring silhouettes that emphasize both performance and style. The predominantly black-and-white color palette keeps the collection sharp and modern, while a newly developed graphic print combines Serre’s iconic crescent moon motif with Under Armour’s heartbeat logo, creating a striking visual identity across the range.
One of the standout elements of the collection is its approach to baselayer dressing. Featuring second-skin fits and ultra-feminine shapes, the pieces are designed to feel as good as they look. The collaboration, Serre described the baselayer as “the second skin” and the foundation of movement, sensation and self-expression, highlighting the collection’s goal of turning functional garments into something emotional, sensual and precise.

Footwear enthusiasts will also have something to celebrate. The partnership marks the highly anticipated return of the UA Proto Speed II sneaker, making its comeback for the first time since the late 2000s. Remaining faithful to the original design, the silhouette features layered textiles, sculpted leather overlays and co-branded silicone detailing across the toe and vamp, offering a nostalgic yet contemporary take on performance footwear.
As luxury fashion continues to embrace athletic influences, the Marine Serre x Under Armour collaboration feels perfectly timed. It captures the growing demand for pieces that deliver both technical functionality and fashion-forward appeal, proving that performance wear can be just as expressive as it is practical.
The collection launches on June 5 via Marine Serre’s website, accompanied by a special Paris pop-up on Rue de Turenne running from June 5 to 7. A wider release through Under Armour will follow later this summer.
