Miss Sixty is bringing vintage glamour back with a surreal twist for Fall 2026.
The Italian fashion label’s latest editorial dives into maximalism, drawing inspiration from the graphic sensuality of Guy Bourdin, Jean-Daniel Lorieux’s sun-drenched photography and the playful attitude of 1960s beach movies.
Rather than simply recreating the past, Miss Sixty uses those references to build something decidedly more surreal. Classic nautical imagery gets a theatrical makeover, with the campaign mixing retro styling with unexpected settings and dreamlike compositions.
Photographed by Miroslav Kovalenko, the editorial combines traditional photography with collage, hand-drawn elements and AI-generated imagery. The result feels part fashion story, part fever dream, with each image deliberately blurring the line between reality and fantasy.
The story begins with the Pirate and Sailor, who pose against an eccentric poolside setting filled with unexpected objects and exaggerated compositions. The familiar nautical characters are transformed into something far more playful, with the styling and scenery leaning into the campaign’s maximalist mood.
Then comes the Mermaid, whose story takes a more isolated turn. Washed ashore and wandering through a deserted beach house, the character brings a slightly mysterious quality to the otherwise sun-soaked editorial.
Together, the images create a distinctly cinematic world where vintage glamour, seaside fantasy and digital experimentation collide.
For Fall 2026, Miss Sixty is proving that nostalgia does not have to mean looking backwards. Sometimes, the best way to revisit an era is to make it a little stranger.
