Zendaya has added another major beauty partnership to her growing portfolio. The award-winning actress has officially been named the new global ambassador for Prada Beauty’s Paradoxe fragrance line, ushering in a fresh chapter for one of the luxury house’s signature scents.
The announcement arrives alongside the debut of a new campaign directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins, whose cinematic storytelling brings the essence of Prada Paradoxe to life through themes of contradiction, individuality, and self-expression.
For Zendaya, the partnership felt like a natural fit.
“I love how Paradoxe celebrates complexity, capturing both strength and vulnerability without trying to frame or define someone,” she said in a press release. “For me, the fragrances we choose are a reflection of how we move through the world. Joining the brand felt like a completely natural extension of that mindset, especially since Paradoxe was already a personal favorite that I wore long before I was approached.”
Coinciding with her appointment is the launch of Prada Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry Eau de Parfum, a new floral-fruity fragrance designed to reinterpret sweetness with a more refined, sophisticated edge.
The scent opens with a vibrant blackcurrant syrup accord, balanced by luminous orange blossom absolute before settling into a creamy neroli milk accord. The result is a fragrance that plays with contrasts, blending freshness, warmth, intensity, and softness into a single composition.
That idea of embracing opposites sits at the heart of both the fragrance and the campaign. Under Barry Jenkins’ direction, the visuals explore the dualities that define modern identity—strength and vulnerability, confidence and sensitivity, constant evolution and authenticity.
It’s a fitting narrative for Zendaya, whose career has been built on versatility. Whether on screen, the red carpet, or in fashion campaigns, the actress has consistently embraced reinvention while remaining unmistakably herself.
